After debuting as a training shoe in 1968, the women's adidas Gazelle quickly found new stomping ground outside the stadium. The original Gazelle pushed boundaries with its fresh suede upper, replacing the ubiquitous leather and inspiring a move toward lightweight footwear. The popular 1991 women’s adidas Gazelle edition was reissued in 2016 and is a classic in its own right.
